Easy discovery of events

I have often encountered a use-case where I have forgotten which application and where a specific event is "located" within the system. When that happens I have to first find the application I think the event is in, next I have to look for the event.

Imagine I have 50 services that all produce and consume different events. Imagine a new team member or if the services are public, anyone would have a hard time finding specific events and reusing them.

Therefore it would be great to have a tool that can take the entire system as an input (multiple AsyncAPI files), and provide an API for searching/looking up events through different search parameters. A start could be looking up descriptions of channels.

Do you think such a library would be useable?

I think this should be part of Studio tbh.

Agree would benefit Studio once multiple files are supported.

However, the functionality should not reside within Studio. Should be a standalone library in my opinion 🙂

Yeah, agree. Likewise, the CLI should be able to offer the same functionality.
