First time user - Can't install iVMS-4200

I have been using Fedora for a year or so now. So pleased I moved away from Apple. the ONE program I can't find any suitable alternative for is iVMS-4200, Hikvisions CCTV monitoring program. It's on Win and Mac but not Linux.

I have created first bottle (many times, trying Games or Applications type). I have tried installing iVMS-4200 about 6 times, it just won't run, actually doesn't even look installed. I have tried on both Games and Applications Bottles, both on Flatpak (Flathub) version and RPM version.

i have the exe installer. I tried running it, no good. The INSTALL process works nicely with all prompts etc, but then it should autorun and it doesn't. I can't find any way to run the program aftter the installation. I have looked in C:/ProgramFiles, no mention of iVMS in there so no way to run it.

If anyone can advise I'd be extremely grateful. thanks

P.S. I did find this article - https://docs.usebottles.com/flatpak/black-screen-or-silent-crash - Tried a fresh Bottles install, new bottle, moved ivms exe installer to the C: drive and ran from there. Installed nicely as before, but still no sign that it has actually installed. To be honest I am not clear on WHERE i would find the icon to run it inside Windows, usually it would be in Program Files but nothing there. I did click play on the installed application but nothing happens. Several 'crashes'. One of them reported the following:

Hello, I know this is an ancient thread, but I wondered if you'd made any progress?

In my experience, that IVMS thing is intrusive as hell, so I can well believe there would be special dlls needed.

For camera monitoring from Linux I am currently using Frigate, but for playback I have to log into the DVR itself right now.

I got it working some time ago by installing:

• vcredist2008
• vcredist2010
• vcredist2013
• vcredist6

And also disabling dxvk. It is not perfect though. It has some graphical glitches.
