I use Solaar, a software that maps logitech mouse buttons/gestures in linux. Solaar supports app-specific mappings depending on the Process of the window that the mouse is hovering over.
I have managed to set app-specific mappings for some apps, but I am trying to figure out what process name I should use with games run in bottles, or if it even is possible in principle to do so at all. Some information about my setup:
Ubuntu 25, so that means I'm on GNOME 49 and Wayland.
The workaround I use now to map keypress combinations to the mouse is having an extra Solaar config file that I rename to use as the main config while I run a game in bottles, so Solaar does work in principle as far as sending keypresses is concerned. I just want to know how I can get it to recognize the bottled games so that I don't have to be swapping configs all the time.
Some process names I've tried so far that didn't work:
bwrap
wineservice.exe
GameName.exe (which gnome-system-monitor uses)
bottles
Would appreciate some insight into how bottles works where window process names are concerned.
