We are excited to announce that AWS Simple Email Service (SES) is now available on Cloud.gov in private beta. Our SES offering supports sending emails from a verified domain. Your team can provide a domain like agency.gov or Cloud.gov can generate a temporary domain for you, supporting use cases from development to production.
With SES, your Cloud.gov applications can send transactional email, like request processing status, daily reports, or password reset information. It is not suited for marketing use cases like bulk email campaigns.
A member of your team previously asked to participate in the beta and we have enrolled your Cloud.gov organization, their-org-here. All org users can view AWS SES in the marketplace and create and bind instances. Documentation is available on our website, and a full service reference is available at https://services.cloud.gov/.
SES will be offered for free during the beta period. When SES becomes generally available in the coming months, it will be priced as follows for customers on our new pricing model:
1 credit per 150,000 emails
1 credit per 120GB attachments
If you signed your IAA before the new pricing went into effect on June 1, access to SES is included with your platform access fee until you renew your IAA.
Please reach out to [email protected] with questions, or provide feedback in the SES discussion topic.
