VS Code formatting mixed format RPGLE

Hi everyone, i have a question about the code formatting feature in codefori.
I read the documentation but there is no clear indication wether the formatting feature only works with full free rpgle or if it also works with mixed format.

Here it mentions it works with "free-format" sources:

I tried to use it with mixed format and it did not work but i was wondering if it was because of some problems on my setup or if it was just not supported.
If right now this feature is not supported i would like to contribute to the project by adding support for mixed format, do you have any suggestions of where i should start?

I'm pretty sure it only works for **free source.

Ok i found it.
Most of the source code responsible for the formatting seems to be located here:
formatting provider
linter

At the moment it obviously only supports full free as can be seen here:

I am willing to study and implement the feature in order to also support mixed format FREE, i would like to know from the maintainers if this is something they would accept or am i just wasting my time?
