EdgeX on ARM platform

Hi, we are trying to run EdgeX (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/edgexfoundry/edgex-compose/refs/tags/v3.1.0/docker-compose-arm64.yml) on a ARM platform with a RAM memory of (2GB) and emmc of 16GB with a Yocto 4.2 (Kernel - 6.1.22). But when we run the EdgeX some of the services are getting restarted. I am attaching the services which are getting restarted. And also vault log file for reference. Any suggestion how to resolve the issue ?

The root cause is from the secret store (Vault) bootsraping.
Please try to use vanilla Vault on your environment and see if it can work well.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Can you please elaborate this a bit? We are running the "https://github.com/edgexfoundry/edgex-compose/blob/v3.1.0/docker-compose-arm64.yml" file. How to use vanilla vault? Is there a link to this vault?
Is this change to be done on the device side (Kernel/boot image) or this has to be done on the yml file?

In the docker-compose file, you can see image: hashicorp/vault:1.14.5
Vault is a general secret store service, and it's not EdgeX specific.
Please make sure it can work fine in your environment.

Or, you can also try the non-security mode.

Hi, thanks... We tried with the "Secret store " which is used in the latest EdgeX code in Git (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/edgexfoundry/edgex-compose/main/docker-compose-arm64.[yml]). And we are able to see the services are running properly. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, we did try that and without value (No-security) works fine. But we wanted with security.
So, we used "Secret Store" used in the latest EdgeX (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/edgexfoundry/edgex-compose/main/docker-compose-arm64.yml) and the services are working fine now.

I am very interesting to see how it works at certain scale, coz I have tried pretty much same as your spec, e.g. "ARM platform with a RAM memory of (2GB) and emmc of 16GB with a Yocto 4.2 (Kernel - 6.1.22)" and not sure if it is good enough to run full edgex bundle. My case is a little more complicated though, coz we're running with k8s on ARM.

Please share if it is possible. Thanks!
