The current open source OPC UA Device service doesn't support the security connection. It's a reference implementation contributed by a community member, and we need other members to implement the security connection logic. |

Hi,
We are attempting to communicate with the Kepware ServerEX OPC UA server from an external Linux-based client (EdgeX) using the OPC-UA protocol. Communication works successfully when security is disabled. However, upon enabling security, we encounter a technical issue with error code 500 - Access Denied.
From our investigation, we understand that the issue is due to the OPC UA server requiring a trusted client certificate for secure communication. Therefore, we need guidance on generating and configuring a client certificate for EdgeX that can be trusted by the OPC UA server.
Could you please provide a solution or the steps to create and integrate the EdgeX client certificate?
