Edgex VFD driver

Hi is there a way to drive a motor / VFD with edgex in the case where the VFD requires constant sending of a control word?

OK I think I have worked out it needs a microservice and can see examples like for the S7.

I may write one, basically the use case is it needs to continually send a control word to the device as well as setting things such as the speed reference. A PID controller would be useful as well.
