Need help with automatic screen dimming

I've got the latest Horus installed on a Dell XPS-13 9333. Very old laptop. It's a new (this week) install.

Everything works as prescribed, but I've got an issue with automatic screen dimming.

I can set the illumination via function keys, and then shortly thereafter EOS will adjust it, seemingly randomly. As I'm typing it's flashing brighter and dimmer.

I had had Zorin installed on this box before and it did the same thing.

Is there a way to turn this "feature" off?

Well,

Answered my own question. It's in settings/power.

Ack.

It's still flickering.

Any idea on how to permanently turn this off would be appreciated.
