A few days ago, my flathub-installed KDE apps started to have trouble accessing files #729

Hi Everyone, I'm on elementary 8. A few days ago, my flathub-installed KDE apps started to have trouble accessing files. Some of them became downright unable to open or safe files. Others started to get minor bugs related to not being able to open files. The KDE apps I'm using, all installed through flathub, are the video editor kdenlive, the simple game kmajongg, the drawing software krita, the torrent software ktorrent, and the text editor kwrite. Out of these, kmahjongg probably doesn't have to safe or edit files, and I haven't used ktorrent in a while. Right now, kdenlive and krita are completely unable to open files or save files, which means that I can't use them. kwrite still edits text files, but it apparently can't edit the file where it keeps its list of recently opened files any more - that list stays the same no matter what I do. I've given all those apps access to my home folder in the System Settings - Applications window. I've rebooted my computer. In the case of kdenlive, I've also uninstalled it and reinstalled it. None of that helped. And I never had that problem before - not while I was using elementary 7.1, and not in my first two months of using elementary 8, either. Any ides? Thank you in advance! |

Now the same problem is happening with the password manager keepassxc. It can still read its database, but it can't add new entries or edit existing entries any more. This is getting really annoying, and starting to move beyond "annoying" into "serious problem" territory. |

This could be issues #739 and #734. Take a look. There are workarounds documented there. |
