UPDATE: After fiddling around, figured out that I needed to use is another USB port until it works. Don't know why, but there's that. Also, deleted Arch and used Zorin thinking that there might be some issues within Arch itself that causes the partitioner to crash. The installer crashing is also fixed now. UPDATE 2: Got it installed, but went straight to tty. |

Hi, I've recently come about eOS again after trying out eOS 6 on my older laptop. Now that I got a new one, I wanted to try all possible distros and have come across eOS, my favorite back then. A bummer when I come try booting it up, it just loads the blurred wallpaper, then onto a black screen with the cursor.
There are times that it would show the installer, try to do a "Custom Installation", but then the installer crashes, forcing me to reboot. Demo mode works fine. That's if the installer boots in the first place.
The laptop is an Acer Aspire A514-54, the ISO is flashed onto a USB via balenaEtcher in Arch, which my laptop has right now, and I want to dual-boot it with eOS 8.0.1.
