was running fine (VGA1 1920x1080x75hz) then did an update,
screen with no dock/launcher/icons which disappears and come back fuzzy then cycles in off AFAICT for ever
edited grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset"
now stable but stuck with
None-1 1280x1024x60hz
most controls are off screen
any ideas
