Navigatior/Structure Interface - Needs A Fix

Describe the Problem

If you look at the image of the Navigator/Structure window in the Elementor Editor, this problem is a major issue with this feature.

It is cumbersome to use with its drag and drop facility. When you want to move any container to the most top level i.e. left or higher than the current top container. It is impossible to do.

You can try slowly, quickly etc. Still it does not work. The container is forced to sit below the most left level container as a parent.

Currently one way to try to do this is create a duplicate container and delete its nested elements and then add the container to move to this container at the most left level. Or create a new empty container and place it in that (as wasted container).

It just will not move to the left.

This is very frustrating and not user friendly at all.

This needs a major review and fix.

Propose a Solution

You need to provide under the 'Structure' option for the container when you right click - an option to change its order in the layer stack. e.g. 1 is the highest and each nest can be 1.1,1.2, 2, 2.1, 2.2.3 etc

Once this number is applied the container move to that position automatically.

Or provide a specific drag and drop sequence to enable the above.

Also, dragging and dropping elements inside the navigator suffers from severe lag on heavier pages atm.
