This sensor is class leading for temp and humidity accuracy. They are now very common on Aliexpress and cheap. A perfect fit for esphome DIY devices. I'd love official support for it too! It beats out the BME 280 and 680 sensors in my testing. |

Describe the component you'd like
It would be great if there could be official support for the HDC3022 temperature and humidity sensor module from Adafruit.
There is existing support for Arduino and circuit python.
What are your use cases for this component?
This module is great for higher precision humidity and temperature measurement over I2C.
Is there a public datasheet, documentation and/or schematics?
TI datasheet is here.
@HarpalPannu has created something close to it here.
It doesn't work for me but it doesn't fail when compiling either so it's somewhere in the ballpark.
I tried to make a fork of it but I have no idea what I'm doing.
I'm just trying to keep my utility closet dry lol.
