Describe your idea
FYI, iMike78 has posted in his GitHub repo that the first version of MiciMike Google Home Mini drop-in PCB (ESPHome-based Home Assistant Voice PE clone replacement circuit board for the Google Home Mini Gen-1) can now be ordered via PCBWay Shared Projects:
https://github.com/iMike78/home-mini-v1-drop-in-pcb
iMike78 is collecting questions (and answers) about PCBWay orders for this MiciMike Google Home mini drop-in PCB by iMike78 here:
Note! That it is the very first initial public release so at this time would suggest that it is currently primarily targeting cutting-edge thinkers(!!!).
PS: He also has a sister project as a drop-in PCB replacement for Google Nest Mini (Gen2) but that PCB design is still not quite ready yet:
https://github.com/iMike78/nest-mini-drop-in-pcb
Why is this exciting?
This is exciting both because it is an ESPHome-based replacement PCB for the Google Home Mini and because it used fully open-source hardware design based on the Opåen Home Foundation's official Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition hardware reference design:

Potential use cases
While these PCBs are expensive his can be used to keep the esthetic look and feel of your old Google Home / Google Nest smart speakers (which can be a good WAF factor if you just replace the board) and will prevent e-waste by keeping most of your existing hardware.
Anything else?
Since these use a open-source hardware license without restrictions anyone can change the design or even manufacturer them as long as share any changes or modifications to the design under the same open-source hardware license and reference the original for credits.
