Best way to download GPX tracks?

Hello all!

I just started using a banglejs 2 which I love, mostly for sports activity tracking, importing GPX files into FitoTrack. To do so, I follow these steps:

• go to gadgetbridge
• go to apps
• go to my apps
• go to recorder
• export GPX
• save in a random dir
• open files
• click the GPX file
• choose import to fitotrack

This is OK, but I was wondering if there was a way requiring less taps. Should I open a feature request for gadget bridge to at least offer the option to "share with" instead of "downloading" the file? This would turn the 4 last steps into a single one, which would be an improvement already.

I believe Gadgetbridge does have something. Just click on the little 'Running Man' icon and then click the 'sync' button in the bottom right. Syncing could take several minutes before tracks start appearing (it'll pop up a message "End: Fetching Sports Details" when it's done), but then you click on a track, and the menu in the top right lets you share the GPX.

Are all your Bangle.js apps up to date? and you have 2v25 firmware?

You'd have to post up the logs from Gadgetbridge for us to be able to debug this, but as far as I can tell from the code you get a "Fetching sports details was interrupted" message if the Bangle doesn't respond with information on the track in ~5 seconds - so I guess it's possible that some error was reported that might show why that happened.

Not sure if @thyttan has any ideas?

Ok, thanks - I think the issue is you might have activity tracks left on your Bangle from before the Recorder app started recording logs with a date in the filename (2 years ago).

If you go into the App Loader's Recorder page and then delete those files (or delete recorder.log*.csv in the Web IDE where * is just a number) then I think that'll fix it?

I removed some old logs without a date in the filename. Now all recorded activities are listed! Great! Thank you.

Actually I just realised I can put a fix into the Bangle.js Android Integration app (so it doesn't list old-style tracks).

So if you go to the development app loader and upgrade Android Integration to 0.43 then it should now all work even with the old tracks
