Change theme based on system appearance settings

Prett muchthe title - is there a way to change eza theme based on system appearance settings?

E.g. for fzf i use this hack

export COLORSCHEME=$(defaults read -globalDomain AppleInterfaceStyle &> /dev/null && echo 'dark' || echo 'light')
export FZF_DEFAULT_OPTS="--color=$(<"${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/fzf/themes/${COLORTHEME}-${COLORSCHEME}")"

It looks like this could be acheived via EZA_COLORS, but is there a tool to convert theme.yml into LS_COLORS format?
