<span> still exist after excluding languages in code highlighting

I try to exclude java in highlight like this:

  enable: true
  line_number: true
  auto_detect: false
  tab_replace: ''
  wrap: true
  hljs: false
  exclude_languages:
    - java 

But I find that <span> tags still exist

Or is there something wrong with my understanding of exclude_languages?

Did you run hexo clean after setting exclude_languages?

const data = highlight(str, options);

This function adds the <span> tag to the code, whether gutter wrap autoDetect is true or false 🤔🤔🤔

Yes, that is true. I'm not sure if it's expected behavior. (Setting exclude_languages to mermaid is working)
