Is Hexo Really Slow in 2025?

I've been quite curious about Hexo's current generation speed, so I conducted a straightforward performance test across Hexo versions 3 to 8 and documented the process in this blog post: Is Hexo Really Slow in 2025? — A Comparison of Generation Speeds Across Versions.

Based on the findings, it appears that Hexo itself is becoming increasingly competitive with Hugo in terms of performance!
