Controls for the Android Companion App #1145

Mobile integration could have some controls for the mobile/tablet running the companion app like activating silent/sleep modes, volume up/down etc The app has already a LOT of sensors but not one control. The phone is a smart device, it should be controllable by a smart home. |

The Android companion app already allows HA to control the phone via "Notification Commands" - I have mine set to where when the phone enters a geofenced area around my employer's office, it makes sure the phone is automatically put on vibrate. Likewise it undoes that when it exits the geofenced area. https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/notifications/notification-commands Unfortunately the flexibility that Android has is not there on iOS (and that's a limitation of Apple, not the app) |
