The AEG app user manual (here) actually lists a download link to a HASS integration you'll have to install yourself, available for download here: https://cdn.shuoxd.com/aeg/HA/aeg-ha.zip From the AEG app, there is a link to another ZIP, but it contains basically the same information, only a cloud-based plugin: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0969/2132/1809/files/Integration_Instruction_of_AEG_and_Home_Assistant.zip?v=1772712481 They say there is a cloud variant and a local variant, both only for monitoring, not control, but I downloaded the zip and I only see the cloud variant unfortunately. You could also the Sunpura integration maybe from here. I believe the AEG branded version uses the same underlying cloud platform. Update 2026-04-12: tried several cloud based integrarions, from AEG zip to Sunpura cloud, none of them seem to work. AEG account != Sunpura account it seems. |

Hi, Yesterday I also started looking into the AEG Solarcube integration offered through the AEG app. After some effort, I managed to establish a local connection with my battery and extract data for use in Home Assistant. The integration they provide seems to be more of a foundation that still needs further development. What’s currently missing most are useful entities — at the moment, most relevant data is only exposed through attributes. There’s also no control layer yet for changing battery settings directly from Home Assistant. Another issue is stability: the connection runs fine for a couple of hours, but then suddenly breaks. My suspicion is that the integration also attempts to establish a cloud connection, and when that fails, it somehow disrupts the local connection as well. So for now, I still need to dig deeper to get this integration working reliably for my setup. Regarding sharing my changes: I’m not a developer, just someone who enjoys tinkering and wants to make this integration work for myself. I also have no real experience with Python. On top of that, I’m unsure whether it would even be legal to share modifications based on code originally provided by AEG. |

I contacted AEG by filing a complaint via the app and asking about HASS support, mentioning the promise of local API support as well and received the following reply on Friday 22-05-2026 (in Dutch):
So they are promising "optimizations" by Friday 29-05, let's see. |

Describe the integration you'd like
I would like to see support for the AEG solar cube. a home battery pack. (based on a other system) or some clear statement you can only use the app and its a system home assistant users sould avoid.
What are your use cases for this integration?
My parents now have 3 apps. for there energy.
I would like to give them home assistant instead but the new bought home battery is disappointing my open point of view.
as far my research goes its app only.
Is there a public API or documentation?
