Describe the enhancement

Currently I could't find any day to detect if a correct code / face is detected by the device.

Use cases

This would allow users to use this two devices to open doors that are powered with standard smart switches/relay.

It seems they only added support for the Vision line in 2026.4

I'll give a try next week.
But I have questions:
1 - Can I uso the Keypad conected to your project and the lock at the same time?
2 - I already have a esphome as a BT proxy near the lock, can I use the same esphome for both purpose or I need 2 devices?

1. Unfortunately only one device can be paired at time. You can make an automation on HA that opens the lock when the unlock action is detected on the bridge.

2. A standalone esp is required, bt proxies are too simple to hold such task

The second answer is not a problem, I can use another esp32. But the first one is a big problem to me. I want the keypad to work with the lock even when HA is down.

Currently, the SwitchBot integration successfully exposes the doorbell ring as an EventEntity for the Keypad Vision / Keypad Vision Pro (as seen in recent commits like 05d57167). However, there is currently no way to trigger automations based on successful biometric or passcode authentications directly from the Keypad.

It would be incredibly powerful to have additional EventEntity types for the Keypad (e.g., unlock_face, unlock_fingerprint, unlock_passcode, unlock_nfc).

Ideally, these events would also carry payload attributes containing the user_id or name of the recognized person, and the specific method used. This would allow us to create highly personalized automations (e.g., "If User A opens the door via Face ID, play a specific TTS greeting and turn on the hallway lights").

With the recent introduction of the EventEntity for the doorbell button, the foundation for event-based triggers on the Keypad is already there. Expanding this to authentication events would make the Keypad Vision Pro the ultimate access control device in Home Assistant.

Can you explain with the Bluetooth dongle .. does it come in In my HA host? If I already have Bluetooth proxies running? Don't quite understand

The bluetooth dongle is needed on a machine where you will run the python pairing scripts.

This is needed in order to tell the keypad to talk with the bridge.

The script gets the keypad encription key from your Switchbot account and sends BLE commands to it.

So did everything…. Connection established , pairing complete…. and After this there is No Green LeD on my Keypad…
Does not work for me …. maybe - because useing the Keypad Vison pro .
any Idea?

Yeah, for now only tested with the keypad touch. If you want, could you please open an issue and send the full logs in VERBOSE mode? That would be helpfull.

Maybe a full log with a pin, finger and face unlock event.
