REST API: the state 'stopped' is missing with covers/blinds

Describe the feature

When you manually close a blind and then halve way you press the stop button. This works fine, except that the state in the REST API is set op 'Open'. This way the automation can't see the difference between half open of fully open. And in case it start to rain I would like to open by binds (screens) also when they are halve open.

Is it possible to change the state to 'stopped' when the stop button is clicked?

Use cases

I would like to open the blinds when it start to rain, also when they are not completely closed.
