GSoC 2026 Idea

I’m exploring a GSoC 2026 idea around extending Bowtie with dependency risk and ecosystem health observability for JSON Schema implementations. The goal is to complement Bowtie’s existing conformance and ranking data with signals like maintainer activity, release cadence, dependency structure, and long-term sustainability — all built using the same GitHub Actions + GitHub Pages model.
I’m also willing to actively maintain and improve Bowtie as part of this work, not just during GSoC but beyond it, since maintainership seems to be one of the key challenges today.
Before I finalize the proposal, I’d really appreciate any feedback from the TSC and community on whether this direction and scope feel useful and aligned with the JSON Schema org’s goals.
