I've (with heavy lift by Copilot) made a kernel that runs an agent using Zed's Agent Client Protocol (ACP) - (https://zed.dev/acp). It includes Codex in the devcontainer Docker image but ACP works with all the popular coding agents with more in the pipeline. This project demonstrates notebooks for agent chat along with agent config, including MCP, using magics.
