Looking for contributors: Building RichText for kivy (Advanced Text Rendering Widget)

Hi everyone,

I am currently developing a "RichText widget for Kivy", designed to provide features that Kivy’s default Label and TextInput don’t support, such as:

• Inline formatting (bold, italic, colors, underline)
• Mixed styles per word or sentence
• Highlighting and selection
• Line-by-line rendering
• Better text measurement logic
• Improved performance for long texts
• Future support for markdown-like syntax

The project is working, but it still needs developers who can help improve the internal logic, optimize rendering, and possibly integrate it cleanly into Kivy’s ecosystem.

What I need help with

• Optimizing the layout and line-height calculations
• Cleaning the text parsing logic
• Finishing highlight/selection behavior
• Making it stable for KivyMD and Kivy apps
• Preparing the project for open-source release
• Writing documentation and examples
