ESP32 WIFI interference

Hello everyone, sorry for going a bit off the MicroPython topic, but maybe someone has experience with this. I’m having a problem with an ESP32-WROVER and an RC controller using the AFHDS system. When I use WiFi ( ESP-NOW ) on the ESP32 — no matter which channel from 1 to 13 — as soon as I turn on the RC controller, it interferes with the ESP32, and the ESP32 interferes with it. There are clearly some interference issues.
Is there any way to prevent this?

Its a spectrum collision.
it’s very hard to avoid. Your RC link (AFHDS/AFHDS 2A) and ESP-NOW both live in 2.4 GHz and use overlapping channels. AFHDS hops across much of the band, and ESP-NOW rides on the Wi‑Fi PHY, so they naturally step on each other when they’re close.

Bluetooth and microwave live in that same neighborhood as well.

You could lower the espnow power and rate, and seperate the antenna and the power circuits, but that will at best reduce the issue, rather than fix it.

Thanks for reply. In general, the problem only occurs when I move close to the ESP with the RC controller — for example, at around 5 meters the issue starts. When I move away with the controller to around 10 meters, the problem disappears.
