Splinky Compatibility

I have a splinky mcu (https://github.com/plut0nium/0xB2) which has an rp2040, I tried flashing it with the sparkfun rp2040 firmware but it doesn't show up for mpremote. Any idea if any of the micropython builds will work on it?

Is it possible that it has a different size flash memory IC?

I believe the splinky uses W25Q32JVZP which is 4MB (according to gemini). Gemini also suggested trying the pico build but I get the same result, mpremote doesn't see it.

what platform are you running on? Do you see anything in the system log when you connect the Splinky over USB?

I'm on mac (m1). If I hold the boot button I see the log message Jan 24 15:53:35 ... syslogd[562]: ASL Sender Statistics in /var/log/system.log, but after plugging it with no buttons I see no log entries. Is there some other log I could check?

ioreg -p IOUSB doesn't show anything interesting, neither does system_profiler SPUSBDataType.

I don't know how helpful this is, but I flashed the mcu with circuitpython for "sparkfun pro micro rp2040", and that worked (the device showed up).

Well, on a lark I flashed micropython for the sparkfun rp2040 again and it worked! So... maybe it was in a weird state that flashing it with circuitpython fixed or something like that.
