Hello everyone, I’m Kotesh, a Computer Science undergraduate with a strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, and MERN stack development. I’m also passionate about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a focus on building data-driven solutions. I actively contribute to open source and worked on the OpenFoodFacts Open Prices Frontend, where I resolved issue #2098 and improved user experience. This strengthened my skills in understanding real-world codebases and debugging effectively. I also participate in hackathons, where I enjoy solving challenging problems and building impactful applications under pressure. I’m particularly interested in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) and aim to contribute meaningfully to open-source communities while growing as a developer. Best Regards, |

Hello everyone,
My name is Yash, and I’m a student developer interested in contributing to Open Food Facts, with the goal of participating in Google Summer of Code 2026.
I recently discovered the project and was really inspired by its mission of helping people make better and more informed food choices. As someone who enjoys food and is curious about ingredients and food quality, the idea of improving transparency in food really resonates with me.
I have experience with web development (JavaScript, React, and backend fundamentals), and I’m excited to start exploring the project and contributing wherever I can.
If there are any beginner-friendly issues, documentation, or areas where a new contributor can start, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
Thank you, and I look forward to learning from and contributing to the community.
Best regards,
Yash
