Being able to override the
packcommand in thepackage.jsonwould help us to have a custom packaging flow.For example, I'm using
rushbut I do not publish the software on npmjs. we are building a different kind of system which is tar.gz based and there are a lot of directories I don't want to have in a build like.heft, .rush, temp ....Setting the
scripts.packin thepackage.jsondoesn't overwrite thepnpm packalthough I think it should, I'm using nowscripts.packageto package our artifact, but this means I need always to keep docs in README with the explanation of the pack script.Having the
pnpm packto use thepackfrom thepacakge.jsonwould be much more intuitive than setting a separate script name.Any thoughts?
