Aura Theme for PrimeReact #3831
-
|
Hello PrimeReact Team, We selected PrimeReact for a net-new application back in September 2024 and purchased a team license of the Figma UI Kit. We discovered later that the Figma UI Kit is based on the Aura theme, which is really beautiful, but the PrimeReact library does not support it yet. I have been checking the PrimeReact Roadmap, but the Aura UI Theme appears to be stuck at ~75% complete. Can you give us a sense of when you expect this to be ready, and what the migration path from using the Lara theme might look like? |

Yes, please let us know. The designers are producing with the Figma Kit which is Aura, yet our developers are coming out with a UI that doesn't match since they have a different default theme. |

When the Aura kit is released, will there be relatively seamless migration for components using the existing kit? |

PrimeReact v11 will bring the new theming, Aura and support for UI Kit v3+ with design tokens. It is also being rewritten based on a headless core with typescript. |

Aura is already available in v11; Final release is due end of year, only a couple of components remaining. |

We're rewriting PrimeReact these days, I'll update the roadmaps as Q1 has ended. Current plan is end of Q2 with 50+ components but it is tentative, however 3 full time developers have been assigned to this project including our CTO so I'm quite excited. I'll have a better estimate after the initial set of componente are done since I'll have more data regarding the efficiency, time it takes...
