Does PrimeReact support Preact?

I wanted to start a discussion on whether PrimeReact officially supports PreactJs, or if it can be used with PreactJs via compatibility layers (such as preact/compat).

We are exploring Preact primarily for reduced bundle size and performance benefits, and would like to understand:

1. Whether PrimeReact components work reliably with Preact
2. Any known limitations or unsupported features
3. Recommended setup or configuration, if available
4. Official stance or future roadmap regarding Preact support
