Customize remark extensions options

The current options (https://github.com/remarkjs/remark-gfm?tab=readme-ov-file#options) do not allow for customizing the extension's additional configurations. For example, the foot notes extension (https://github.com/micromark/micromark-extension-gfm-footnote) supports customizing the label output, but this configuration cannot be set from neither this package or react-markdown (or at least not documented).

What can be done here?

Hi!
Most options of the micromark extensions are for the html parts of those extensions.
Those are not used in remark, which goes to a markdown AST.
As the readme shows, the HTML part is somewhere else.
