Hello contributors! We are so happy to having many of you reaching out to us in the past days!! We are creating different issues this month, and accepting many suggestions from you all.

If you want to get to know the code a little better by developing something, feel free to reach out to any of the issues with the label help wanted and good for wannabe gsocers. We will analyse your ideas and assign it to you if it fits.

Right now we are accepting help on RUXAILAB, Figma to Unity VR, Web Eye Tracker and Web Eye Tracker Frontend Feel free to take a look at the issues there ;)

Some issues guidelines for an easygoing communication

We work with and assignee system. So you need to express your interest to work on the issue. The first to express interest in the issue comments will have the preference, but be aware to understand what you have to do first and make sure you will have the time and dedication for that before expressing interest, so others also have the chance 😉

The person who raised an issue would have the preference to fix it, if the person do not want to or takes too long to answer back, we open it for others.

I recommend you to check out for issues with labels such as "Help Wanted", "Good First Issue" or "Good for wannabe gsocers", as we prepared them specially for new contributors who want to star collaborating this year.

I also suggest you to take a look at the ideas list, the proposal template and also to clone the repositories you are interested on.

Feel free to comment on any discussion or issue you want to participate in.

Hey @sushant4612, let me share a few tips with you! 😊 Everyone starts as a newbie, so there's no need to stress. 🌟 Fork and clone this repo and treat it like any other application you use. You'll inevitably encounter various bugs and issues. 🐞 When you do, open an issue detailing your experience, and give fixing it on your forked repo a shot. 🛠️ Once you've resolved the issue, send a PR to the main repo, and voilà! 🎉 You've just become a contributor to this organization. Let's make some awesome contributions together! 🚀

Thank you for your response and motivation @TheMohit2003 . I have already cloned the repository, and this morning, I raised a pull request and just 2-3 hours ago, that pull request got merged into the repository.

Hello @saltykheera . First I suggest you to clone https://github.com/ruxailab/RUXAILAB to get to know the project a little better. Then I believe you can research ways of retrieving data such as click and scroll events from the website that is used in the usability test. If you want to do some proof of concept feel free to try it out as well.

Hello! We prefere to focus the efforts on the other ideas that look more interesting to be done this year. Take a look at the other Eye Tracking idea, it may be interesting for you as well.

’Im Shashi Kumar, a final-year student passionate about open source. I came across this project and found its goal of integrating GitHub contributions with Discord really exciting. However, I couldn’t find a link to the Discord server in the repository, organization, or online resources.

As an active member of the Aula de Software Libre (Free Software Group) at the University of Córdoba (Spain), I have contributed both technically and artistically to various open-source projects and events, including SalmorejoTECH, one of our most recognized initiatives. Hello @KarinePistili and everyone else! I am Chao Cherng, a current Software Engineering student heading into my 2nd year. I am interested in contributing to the RUXAILAB project, specifically for the Integration of GitHub Actions with Discord Role Management (90h)!

I'm new to contributing to an open-source project and hope to learn a lot from my mentor. I initially was interested in the following project: "Implementation of A/B Testing Capability in RUXAILAB (175h)", because it aligned more with the course that I was taking, so I figured that I could do and learn more. But since I'm new to this field, I opted for a smaller project, I will still submit my proposal for the Implementation of A/B testing just to test my luck to see if I'd get the chance to contribute!

I know Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C++ & C (mostly self learnt, some learnt through my university units). I recognise this as a chance for me to improve my technical skills as well as getting first hand industry experience by working with a mentor
