The issue happened on the path admin/products after upload some images

Current behavior

LoadError in Spree::Admin::ProductsController#index

Could not open library 'glib-2.0.so.0': File not found.
Could not open library 'libglib-2.0.so.0': File not found

I'm going to convert this to a troubleshooting discussion, because I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug in Solidus. I'll follow up on the discussion. 🙂

I think you're hitting a ruby-vips issue. This person encountered the same error and active storage (which by default handles image storage) can use ruby-vips, so I suspect you're hitting something similar. Looks like that person was on an M1 Mac and you're on OpenBSD, but hopefully this is at least somewhat helpful.

I had installed libvips (8.9.2) and add 'ruby-vips' to the Gemfile

$ pkg_info -Q libvips
libvips-8.9.2 (installed)

I don't have /opt or /opt/homebrew on OpenBSD, I tried to create them and do doas ln -s /opt/homebrew/lib /opt/local/lib but same result

I will try to setup Active Storage on :mini_magick

Creating those folders is probably not the solution, but I don't know enough about OpenBSD to really help debug this. I would investigate over on the ruby-vips or FFI projects to see if they can help.

Ok thank you :) That's what I think too, from the stacktrace the problem seem coming from the ffi gem or ruby-vips

PS. In my /usr/local/lib/ folder I found that I have libglib-2.0.so.4201.7

I debugged the problem. It's came from the ruby-vips gem (/usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/3.1/gems/ruby-vips-2.1.4/lib/vips.rb)

In my /usr/local/lib I currently have

libglib-2.0.so.4201.7
libgobject-2.0.so.4200.14
libvips.so.0.0

But in vips.rb the library_name function took a bad abi number

Set on (0, 0, 42) instead of (4201.7, 4200.14, 0.0) in my case

Install ruby with pkg_add ruby then install rails with gem install rails
