You can try it now - RC1 is already here: https://github.com/spree/spree/releases/tag/v5.4.0.rc1

npx create-spree-app@latest my-store

If you're starting a new project, it's highly recommended to use 5.4.0 RC1 now. It's RC1, so the APIs won't change; we're just fixing bugs and issues.
