AFAIK and assuming that: When running functions, the have the same permissions as the user invoking them. That means that function permissions must be stricter or equally strict to whatever resources they are accessing.
I would like a set of functions to read system tables, secrets, do calls. - But the only way to achieve this is by relying on events?
If there is a way to do this without events, I have not found it.
If there is no way, I really think it would it make a lot of sense to have it.
