Hi I noticed the css at the head of the examples is missing the opening style tag as well as the link to the external css (for instance features.css in the Features folder) in the root for at least some of them also not included. Features is one example of this (haven't checked all of them).

The 'Ported the docs from Hugo to Astro for our own sanity!' is a bit of a bugbear as I have spent the best part of the last year learning and understanding Hugo so I can be on the same page as Bootstrap when it comes to understanding the docs.

What was wrong with Hugo, what makes Astro better and for those of us who have spent time on Hugo to keep up with Bootstraps docs, was there a pre-shift warning and some post-shift tips to migrate?

Hugo is great and I'm a fan and still use it for many projects. If it works for you and you're happy with it continue doing so! Astro is neat, but there's a few things I don't like about it (such as lack of HTML minification options and slower build times).

Astro is only used (in this project) for the Bootstrap docs and I don't think that means they are recommending or suggesting that it should be used with that particular static site generator/build tool. Bootstrap is framework agnostic and it's best that way :-)
