It feels like I'm missing something obvious, but is there a preview mode? One where it upscales but doesn't save. I test various images to see the results and it keeps littering my drive with every attempt. I wish it had a mode where you upscale and, if it looks fine, save. Else, do not. Possibly with an overwrite prompt. |

Hi @IMNdi! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the upscayl team. Upscayl doesn't currently have a preview mode—every upscaling operation saves the result to disk automatically, and there's no built-in way to preview before saving or to get a save/overwrite prompt. The "overwrite" toggle only controls whether existing files are replaced, not whether you get a confirmation or can discard results. There isn't a documented workaround for this, but as a manual approach, you could set your output directory to a temporary folder and review results there before moving the ones you want to keep. This feature has been requested by other users as well, so it's a known area of interest, but it's not implemented yet. You can keep an eye on future updates for any changes in this area.
