What types of image files does upscayler work with, specifically will it work with geotiffs?

I have a geotiff that I'd like to add some resolution to. It has geo information embedded in it.
Can I upscale the image and the geocoordinates will remain and work?

Upscayl supports PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WEBP image formats. It does not support TIFF or GeoTIFF files as input, so you won't be able to open or process a geotiff directly in Upscayl. There is also no indication that Upscayl preserves specialized metadata like embedded geocoordinates from GeoTIFF files, as its metadata copy feature is focused on standard EXIF data and works best with JPG images for compatibility reasons citation.

OK thanks for the reply. Upscale sounds interesting, but the only use for it I have at this time would be the geotiff. Someday I may take a look at it, but at the moment I have plenty of other more pressing things to do. Maybe it might be a future feature that could be added, but I think I'm part of a pretty small group who would like it.
