I think this definitely warrants a newly created web-application server.

Like I'm thinking we use PHP to write the actual socket-server and HTTP parsing protocol.

I heard there was an RFC somewhere that explains it but I know enough about the web -- we don't need to use that.

While you're at it have @bitbier work on building our own declarative language for configs. He should base it on XML for maximum
