Feature Proposal POC: expand/scroll to show the active file

Basically, the idea is to replicate vscode's native file explorer. i know the current implementation bolds the active file, what would be better is to expand and scroll to that file in the tree view.

I have made a basic POC, let me know whether I should go forward and send a PR, happy to discuss the implementation also :)
