Description

Problems with local vector renderer

  • Areas stuck together do not stay so and look very wonky at lower resolutions.
  • Roads are rendered twice atop the area they belong to.
  • area:highway=turning_circle does not render.
  • resolution of areas does not increase when zooming in.

Steps to reproduce

Open OSMAnd app using the local vector renderer. (I used Android downloaded from Fdroid on a pixel 4a 5G but it should be agnostic.)

Head to: geo:53.365266,-1.399299?z=19 (Ravenscroft Crescent, Sheffield, United Kingdom)

Expected result

Either have areas stay stuck together or have them not display at all. It does not make sense for them to render like this.

Road lines should not render over the top of road areas, their labels should though.

While I don't love the area:highway=turning_circle tag, it is how it's currently documented so should likely be added to the rendering.

I'm aware of limits to the data compression at play here.
