Hide status bar

Describe the idea

Can the status bar on Android be hidden when using this app? Or is that something I need to do on OS level with Android. I see some apps have ability to go totally full screen where the status bar does not show. Can this app do it?

Expected behaviour

Make app hide the status bar when opened to be full screen

Alternatives you've considered

I tried using 3rd party app to do it but they end up causing other issues where you can use back button or open keyboard

@vishnauth-bit Which version of OsmAnd are you using?

Tested on 5.2.13 and nightly build - status bar is not displayed.

Perhaps it depends on the model of the monitor in the car.
Also, try enabling status bar transparency: Menu > Plugins > OsmAnd development > Transparent status bar

That looks like it's running in Android Auto. I forgot to mention I'm not using Android auto. I have Android box connected to car so it's full Android OS. Launching Osmand directly from Android. It's the same if you open the app on your phone you will see the status bar up there

Unfortunately, OsmAnd currently doesn't have an option to hide the status bar, only Full-Screen mode that hides all UI.
