I think there are some other ways too we can discover meaningful projects from this, which I think would be valuable for the end user of this tool/dashboard (sketched UI).
Running topic analysis on the project contents to get projects in a similar space
Collect an input list of known projects to disregard (this is a list of projects as an org we are already aware of), so that can help expand our search and help uncover new projects more easily
On those new projects, we can offer more filters beyond contribution counts like ( filter by stars, forks, total number of contributors to that project, companies involved)
