Would it be possible to leverage the work here to create a board that allows us to use an XG Mobile with a different PC without the proprietary connector #37

I think I would need to solder this (https://www.a-accessories.com/laptop/connector-board/other-connectors/asus-xg-mobile-dock-connector-88837-88896.htm#rog-ally) to a custom board and then convert these pins to USB 4 or OcuLink. Easier said than done? |

Ope I think this is what this thread was about: #10. Oculink seems harder, and I'm not sure my landing laptop has Oculink, so a direct PCIe edge device sounds optimal. Here's a plan that ChatGPT conjured for me: https://chatgpt.com/s/t_6867ae76b0888191a9927a813c83e41a I'd appreciate a cursory glance if you have a second! |

I have a 4090 XG Mobile that I really love. I'm getting a newer laptop that I'd like to be able to use my XG Mobile with in addition to using it with my Z1 Extreme. How much work would be involved to convert the ... actually now that I think about it. It would probably be a permanent mod if I modded the cord directly or if I wanted to create an adapter with that proprietary connection converted to USB 4 for example would be a different beast altogether. Can you correct me if I'm wrong?
