Hello. I‘m glad to see your idea. I found that this pcb uses a 3080 xg mobile cable.May I ask a question? Can this pcb use the 4090 xg mobile cable? Because the cable of 4090‘s xg mobile can use pcie4.0x8 stably.

No because it's not possible to buy that cable.

It seems that ASUS after-sales service in China sells the 4090 cable directly, and there are agents on Goofish where you can place an order. However, it's uncertain if they can ship it to your address.

They say 4090 but all the pictures are of the older cable (the same one we use).

Probably the picture wasn't updated. I've consulted with them before—the cable for the 4090 is completely different, and the price is about 40% more expensive than the 3080's.

Anyways I've looked into it and the connector end of the 4090 is completely custom and there's no parts you can buy that mates with it.

Sad news. Also worth mentioning: My laptop is the FLOW 16 2023. I've tested the 4070, 4070 Ti, 5070, and 9070 XT. Only the 9070 XT can maintain PCIe 4.0 x8 speeds. The NVIDIA cards always run at PCIe 3.0 (tried three different cables, all with the same result—likely due to greater signal attenuation in the larger laptop chassis).
