Microsoft Bob hangs during install.

Go here and click Environment: THIS_BUILD_IS_RECOMMENDED__VCXPROJ_BUILD=1-> Artifacts 1-> zip to download the latest version.

Tried this no change.

Describe the bug
Microsoft Bob hangs when installing, after you answer all the installer's questions and it tries to start copying files.

Expected behavior
Files extract normally.

Environment (please complete the following information):

• OS: Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.6691
• Version 2646

Additional context
I'm not sure if EXTRACT.EXE is successfully launching.

I can't reproduce that. Extract.exe is a dos program but it isn't used by the installer. Try to zip the trace and upload it since it should compress well.

Oddly it looks for the last hard disk drive to place the setup files. It thinks that is G:.

That is strange. The G: drive is my Google Drive.
I just tried deleting an old (empty minus an empty SETUP folder) MSBOB folder from my C: drive from a previous failed install, and it has now installed successfully, although it won't run - saying it "can't load UTOPIA.DLL required by HOME (error=2)". I have tried adding C:\MSBOB to the path and setting the program compatibility mode to Windows 95 and selecting Run as Administrator, but that didn't fix it.

C:\MSBOB needs to be in the PATH. There should be a AUTOEXEC.TMP file in the winevdm fake C drive that contains `PATH C:\MSBOB'. If you rename that to AUTOEXEC.BAT then it should work. Unfortunately, because of the way Windows 11 protects the root of C this can't be done automatically.
