We are committed to a collaborative environment in which people can participate without harassment, intimidation, or discrimination. Technical disagreement is welcome; personal attacks and exclusionary behavior are not.
- Be respectful, specific, and constructive.
- Critique ideas and changes rather than people.
- Assume good intent while still addressing harmful impact.
- Respect privacy, security boundaries, and confidential information.
- Give credit for ideas and contributions.
- Accept maintainer decisions gracefully and use documented appeal paths.
- Harassment, threats, stalking, or sustained disruption.
- Discriminatory, sexualized, insulting, or demeaning language or imagery.
- Publishing another person's private information without permission.
- Knowingly submitting secrets, proprietary material, malicious code, or unsafe instructions.
- Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
This policy applies to repository issues, pull requests, reviews, discussions, releases, and project-related public or private communication. It also applies when someone represents the project in another venue.
Report conduct concerns privately to the maintainers using a non-public contact method listed on the maintainer's GitHub profile. If no private method is available, open a minimal public issue asking for maintainer contact without including sensitive details.
Maintainers will review reports in good faith, protect reporter privacy where possible, hear relevant parties, and choose a proportionate response. Responses may include clarification, a warning, content removal, temporary participation limits, or a permanent ban. A maintainer who is directly involved in a report must not be the sole decision-maker when another maintainer is available.
Good-faith reports will not result in retaliation. Deliberately false or abusive reports may themselves violate this policy.
