Get error where use package with transaction

Where I use this package with transaction - I get error.

Text error:
SQLSTATE[25P02]: In failed sql transaction: 7 ERROR: current transaction is aborted, commands ignored until end of transaction block....

Example Code

try {
    DB::beginTransaction();

    ...
    HomeworkTask::query()
                ->create([
                ....
                ]);
                
    DB::commit();
} catch (Exception $exception) {
    DB::rollBack();
}

I don't think this is related to laravel-auditing, it seems the SQL you're running between beginTransaction and commit is invalid somehow so the transaction is struggling to apply.

As an aside, I would suggest using DB::transaction(function() { ... }) so you don't have to manually rollback, there is nothing worse than an accidentally unclosed transaction preventing your application from actually writing to the database.

Maybe it's because I use have Laravel 8 with Laravel Auditing 13.6

thanks for the extra context, you should be able to update to 13.7 which may or may not help

I'm not sure where the returning id part is, is that part of the audited changes or is it part of the error message?

I'm using laravel 8.x, and I just upgraded to 13.7.2, but it has always worked correctly with transactions in any v13 minor version

yeah must be something specific to the query, what happens if you try it without the transaction, do you get a more useful error message?
